// Bridget Bardot //

I've recently watched an 1950's French film that starred Bridget Bardot called, And God Created Women.

I've always thought Mrs. Bardot was a beautiful woman but this movie made me fall in love with her because of her witty, provocative, and mischievous character.

Now I understand why this was the movie that set off her career.

With that being said I decided to dedicate a post just to this beautiful woman. 

*Swoon*

So I'm going to start this new thing where I post "a song of the day" .. or week.. or whenever I blog again.. hah

I'm open to any type of music.. so if I like a song.. from any genre.. I'll share it with you.

I know we've all been there.

Searching through our piles of clothes in our closest but, somehow.. still have nothing to wear.

So what does one do to find something to wear.. ?
.. Go to the mall?
no.

.. Go online shopping?
no.

.. Go in your sisters closest?
maybe.

.. Go to your "inspirational pictures" folder on your PC?
YES!



Whenever I don't know what to wear I always look at pictures I have saved over the years for inspiration. Some are random and ridiculous but they stood out for me at the time so I would go ahead and safe them. It was basically my own personal "Pinterest" before Pinterest was even introduced to me.

But, I do have a Pinterest now.. so you should check it out  ;)

So... these photos are clusters of my favorite outfits. I would look at these pictures among many others to inspire me to come up with cute outfits with clothes I already own.

Of course I wish I had the money to buy a different outfit for everyday in the year but.. lets face it. I'm broke.

Anywho, as you can tell I love the bohemian/maxi dress/prints.. type of style but, I also love grungy/edgy/laid back clothes as well. So whenever I can merge the two.. (leather jacket/ girly dress combo anyone???)

 I am a happy gal.

So I haven't blogged about anything for awhile now and here I am.. 

in the library....

 randomly spilling out my innermost feelings. 

I've been thinking about the future a lot lately..

What classes I need to take next semester.

What internships I should be applying for.

Where I want to work.

Do I want to leave Chicago, my family and friends for work?

Is Advertising really what I want to do for the rest of my life?

How do I find a job where I can be true to myself and others? 

  

and then.. this song came on. 

For some reason this song just made me drop everything and watch the sunset.

...even in a public library.

I guess what I'm trying to say is the future will come soon enough.

I feel like everyone in my life is thinking about what will happen next and where they want to go .. 

and that's fine..

but once in awhile you should stop and enjoy the sunset.. where ever you are in life, figuratively and literally.

If you are a big music buff, like me, then you should join eventful.com.

It's an awesome site that lets you know when your favorite bands, artists, performers.. etc. are coming into town. 

I signed up about three years ago and it emails me to notify when my favorite band is coming to my town, where they are performing and helps me find tickets so I can purchase them right away. 

I don't always buy tickets to my favorite bands shows, but it's just nice to know when one of your favorite bands are coming into town.  

However... about a week ago I got an email from eventful and opened it on my smart phone while I was doing some homework.

It was like the heavens answered my prayers. 

THE SHINS ARE COMING TO CHICAGO!

I was so excited and knew I had to go with my girlfriends. Then a brilliant idea popped into my head. 

My best friend Grace bought me tickets to see The Red Hot Chili Peppers for my 21st birthday last year. I was so happy/excited/thankful for the present because I love RHCP. So since she's turning 21 this year I thought it would be fitting if I got a ticket as a birthday present for her and threw one more ticket in for our other best friend, Erin.

So on May 19th, at the Aragon ballroom it's about to get wild.

I am so happy that I've been on a Shins binge lately.. so if you haven't heard of them you should give it a chance.

I'm sure you'll like it!
